Gallery Marisall was opened in the summer of 2006 and this year we celebrate six years of active participation on Croatian cultural scene. Initially, the Gallery intended to introduce international artists to Croatian public. With time, this goal was transformed and our main focus shifted to representing domestic authors, principally of the younger generation. Today, we have an established reputation as one of the leading galleries that support young Croatian talents.

Taking into consideration the importance of consistent promotion of artistic values, Gallery Marisall wishes to raise the bar for artists and influence the way in which they are received in the public eye. The guiding principle is to enable a generation of artists in top form to exhibit their work in continuation and reinforce both their cultural and market value. While keeping up with international trends, we also find great pride in the fact that we were the first to acknowledge some of the most talented Croatian painters of today.

During a relatively short period of time, the gallery ensured a reliable network of visitors and clients and is now ready for the international market. Last year, Gallery Marisall participated in international art fair ‘Preview Berlin - The Emerging Art Fair’, in Berlin, Germany, and thus became the first Croatian gallery that was represented at this prestigious and highly visited international event. The Gallery Marisall made that important step to internationally represent some of the most important Croatian artists, and ensure co-operation with foreign artists, gallery managers, curators and collectors. Furthermore, our objective is to open another branch gallery in Germany which would become a kind of catapult for Croatian artists to be represented on the Western market.

There are five to seven solo exhibitions per annum with several group exhibitions as well. All of them are organized according to professional criteria and visitors can also see other works in the gallery's depot. There is a strong emphasis on high quality paintings. At the moment, we are successfully collaborating with over 30 artists from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Germany, Canada, Israel and the Dominican Republic.

Gallery Marisall has established itself as one of the leading Croatian gallery for exhibition of young Croatian artists, the goal in which we will continue to persist.
